There are many folks in many states that are hurting right now, whether dealing with fires that spread in the intense wind in Oklahoma or the aftermath of the severe tornados that did touch down throughout Mississippi and surrounding states. And we are thinking of all of those people and communities as they deal with the aftermath of the storms that moved through yesterday and today.
For those that are wondering how we are doing, just wanted to post a quick update that we were extremely fortunate in whatever luck of the draw determines how these things unfold. All of the storms moved around Jackson, with some of the worst ones moving through a corridor south of us by 30-130 miles. Ryan described it well by saying it moved through the state kind of like a comb, and we just happened to be in a spot between the teeth. There were moments were the skies had gray clouds, but the worst we saw at any point today was a little light rain out of our window and the day is closing out with beautiful blue and sunny skies. Thanks to friends and family for keeping us in your thoughts and checking in on us. We are keeping the folks who took the brunt of it in our thoughts.
