We are in New York!!!

State 50!!

Woohoo!

Yesterday morning we hit the major milestone of crossing into state 50 and it was glorious!

As we drove along route 5 headed east, Julie found herself overcome with a sense of arrival and accomplishment as we barreled towards state 50.

We greeted the upcoming milestone characteristically – that is to say – in the manner most characteristic of our complimentary personalities.

That is to say, Julie exploded into a seizure of spastic and effusive excitement. .

And, Ryan, well Ryan reacted to the moment like this.

When we did reach the sign indicating our arrival and our return to our home state, state number 50 on our 50 states tour, the momentousness of the occasion won the day and we both found ourselves naturally meeting in the middle – Ryan’s enthusiasm showed up and reached full throttle within the context of the grounded spectrum of what full throttle enthusiasm looks like for Ryan and Julie’s spastic enthusiasm grounded into a solid stream of joy and celebration.

We both eagerly hopped out of the car laughing and smiling. We hugged and kissed and congratulated each other and took a bunch of pictures.

Then we plowed forward triumphantly into the empire state! Ryan DJ’d the heck out of the moment while Julie enthusiastically trampled some of the great singers and entertainers with her amped attempt at co-crooning. Frank Sinatra announced our accomplishment, Kiss announced we were back in the New York groove, Alicia Keys announced we were in New York, Taylor Swift welcomed us and, of course, our main man, Billy Joel shared with us in being in a New York State of mind.

Start spreading the news folks, we DID make it here! We’re back in the New York groove, we are in a New York State of mind, we’re in New York, New York, Neeeew Yooork!
